Where is The Atrium located?
The Atrium is located in Wintec House on Nisbet Street Hamilton, which is located in the heart of Hamilton’s Central Business District. Within easy walking distant to Wintec House are Hamilton Transport Centre, shopping malls, specialist shops, Hamilton Lake, walkways along the Waikato River, plus many other attractions. See map
Where can I park my car?
Parking has been reserved for FORUM 2011 participants on Level 4 and up in the new car parking building at Wintec. Entrance into parking building is on Ward street. [Check Location]
How can I get to Hamilton from Hamilton airport?
The airport is about 20 minutes drive from the centre of town. There are a number of airport transfer options. Hamilton Taxis and Red Cabs meet each incoming flight at the airport. What is Hamilton's proximity to other cities/towns?
Hamilton is centrally located approximately 1 ¼ hours drive south of Auckland, 1 ¼ hours drive from the popular east coast cities of Tauranga and Mount Maunganui, 1 ¼ hours drive from the geothermal city of Rotorua and 40 minutes from the west coast beachside settlement of Raglan renowned for its art community.
How can I be contacted during FORUM 2011?
You are welcome to bring your mobile devices. As a courtesy to speakers, participants are requested to switch their mobile phones to silent during sessions.
What kind of food is provided at the forum and what if I have special dietary requirements?
Morning tea and lunch will be supplied during FORUM 2011. All catering will be served in the Long Room which is adjacent to The Atrium in Wintec House. Every effort will be made to ensure participants with special needs are catered for. Should you require any specific assistance or catering, please give details required on your registration form.
Will you have eftpos facilities at the forum?
There is a eftpos machine available to staff and students on campus in the Gallagher Hub. You would be welcome to use this facility throughout the duration of FORUM 2011.
Are there smoking areas at the conference location?
The Wintec Campus has a smokefree policy. Smoking is not permitted on Wintec property, ie inside and outside Wintec buildings, in car parks or anywhere else on Wintec sites as shown on the Wintec City Campus map.
What is the weather like in Hamilton?
July is in the middle of our winter season and temperatures in Hamilton can range from 10 - 15 degrees. Hamilton can be prone to foggy mornings but these usually clear by lunchtime.
